Meredith Matone, DrPH, MHS


Meredith Matone is the Deputy Director of PolicyLab at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Her research interests include large-scale program evaluation and health services research in the areas of child and family health. At PolicyLab, Ms. Matone has applied these interests to research in collaboration with local and state partners. Her current work includes a statewide evaluation of federally funded home visitation programs for families of young children in Pennsylvania and an assessment of the health service needs of adolescent mothers with involvement in the child welfare system in Philadelphia. Ms. Matone formerly served as project director for an ongoing research portfolio related to pediatric psychotropic medication use and remains engaged with the mental health portfolio at PolicyLab. Prior to PolicyLab, Ms. Matone served on the strategic planning and evaluation teams for an infant mortality initiative in Baltimore City. Ms. Matone received her Doctor of Public Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where she was a recipient of a U.S. Public Health Service Training Grant. She is a Master of Health Science graduate of the school.
